( Born into a world where Earth burned, causing its survivors to live underground, the children of the survivors started discovering strange anomalies.
Powers.
As more children were born more of these strange abilities started appearing. Some people hated the thought of it, others thought of it as luck.
It's been 240 years since the first survivors travelled undergroup. Civilisation has since changed to incorporate these abilities into life -- contacting other colonies, cultivating planets, medicine. They don't know how the surface is. Most are content now with the life underground -- they've built it and it works. It's simple and peaceful -- they're happy. Others want a change, and wonder whether these powers are the way to get them.
Aoife's just a simple girl. Simple and bored. Born with one of these abilities, the power to see into the past, she's unhappy with the life that she has. She works in her parents book shop, running it when they're not their, and forced to use her power as a way to earn more money -- her parents idea.
What Aoife would most like to do is run away -- to make her own life, one of her choice. She's 19 and feels trapped, but underground where would she go? And what would she do? )
